NOTICE CONCERNING VOLUNTEER CLEARANCES:
There are so many volunteer needs at Colfax, but volunteers must have state criminal and child abuse clearances. Clearances are good for five years from the date of on the clearance. If you are not sure about your clearance date, check with the PTO's Volunteer Coordinator.
Quick start guide to obtaining clearances:
- Complete your criminal clearance. Print the results.
- Complete the child abuse application, checking the Volunteer option as the reason.
- Register to be fingerprinted. Once registered, go to one of the fingerprint locations. Your results will be mailed to you within 2-6 weeks. Note, if you have resided in PA for 10 consecutive years, you can submit a Waiver Request and Residency Requirement in lieu of fingerprints.
- When you receive the results in the mail, bring a copy of the criminal clearance, a copy of the child abuse clearance, and a completed District Volunteer Intake Form to the Colfax office.
