The Colfax PTO fundraising gala is back, and we need your support!
This annual event is our largest fundraising project of the year, attracting 120+ attendees and raising over $20,000. To help us reach our 2025 goal, we need the help of our local community. Please consider a donation or sponsorship to help support our teachers and ensure our students have access to a wide range of enrichment activities.
About Colfax K-8
Located in the heart of Squirrel Hill, Colfax is the largest K-8 school in the Pittsburgh Public Schools system, serving a population of 750+ diverse students.
About the PTO
Our PTO funds many educational enrichment opportunities beyond the standard PPS offerings, including field trips, Grow Pittsburgh garden classes, and our Middle School Musical, and helps provide our teachers with financial grants and other support throughout the year.
This year, our PTO also started a new initiative, Cobra CARES, to assist the 30% of families in our school community who are economically disadvantaged. We provide teachers with a pantry of food, clothing, toiletries, and other items students may need during the school day, and also coordinate free deliveries of grocery boxes to those families who request.
About the Event
The event will take place on Saturday, May 10, 7pm – 11pm, at the The Mattress Factory.
